"This bottling from four vineyards, with 12% Mourvèdre, shows loads of crushed carnation, rose petal, cranberry and raspberry on the nose. There is a compelling freshness to the palate, with potpourri and lavender flavors meshing into a background of pomegranate and rosewater."
Grenache’s exceptionally lovely strawberry-rhubarbarity is complemented by delicate notes of raspberry, kirsch, red currant, and white pepper. It’s the perfect foil for anything prepared al fresco, especially when anointed with olive oil.
Clos de Gilroy comes from the hand-harvested grapes of five Central Coast Vineyards. Primarily from the Alta Loma vineyard in the Arroyo Seco region of Monterey County. The fruit is hand-sorted, gently destemmed, cold soaked and each lot fermented separately. Bonny Doon’s winemaking practices are done with minimal intervention and manipulation.
